BUDAPEST—After a year's probe, the Budapest Chief Prosecutor's Office has indicted the Gede Brothers Publishing Company for anti-Semitism, accusing its owners, Tibor and Sándor Gede, of incitement against the Jewish community.

The inquiry followed complaints by the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities and several individuals. According to the charges, the firm published anti-Semitic books dealing with the views of Hungary's wartime pro-Nazi Arrow Cross movement.

No date for trial has been set. If convicted, the accused could face up to three years in prison.
