NSNS Monday, 21 March 2005 KASSEL—Dissident German attorney Manfred Roeder has been sentenced to 10-months' imprisonment for "defamation of the State." He is scheduled to begin serving his sentence on Easter Monday, 28 March. Barred by a so-called Berufsverbot from practicing his profession, Roeder has been jailed repeatedly by the regime for challenging its legitimacy as a puppet government, as well for questioning the Holocaust blood-libel upon which it is based. In an open letter to members of the German parliament, Roeder referred to the Bundesrepublik as a "pimp republic"—which characterized "the most shameful chapter in German history." Declaring "WE ARE ALL MANFRED ROEDER," a number of German citizens plan to accompany the uncompromising dissident as he enters prison in Fulda. A similar demonstration of solidarity and support is planned upon his release. |
