BARBADOS—Tiger Woods married the Swedish model
Elin Nordegren at a lavish resort in Barbados.
Among the 120 guests attending the $1.5-million wedding were talk-show
host Oprah Winfrey and former American basketball stars Michael Jordan
and Charles Barkley.
Nordegren, 24, met Woods three years ago while she was nanny to the
children of Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik.
At the ceremony, Nordegren wore an off-white sleeveless gown, while
Woods, 28, wore a beige suit.
The rock group Hootie and the Blowfish performed under a tent at the
"19th Hole," a garden area of the Green Monkey golf course.
Then fireworks lit up the night sky aong Barbados' west coast.
Woods asked Nordegren to marry him in November 2003 during a sunset
walk at a game reserve in South Africa, after he competed in the Presidents
Cup.
Nordegren's mother, Barbro Holmberg, is Sweden's immigration minister.
"Sin
against the blood and against the race
is the original sin in this world and the end
of a humanity which surrenders to it."
— The Book, I:10/249
"A
racial state must therefore begin by raising
marriage from the level of a continuous defilement
of the race, and give it the consecration of an
institution which is called upon to produce images
of the Lord and not monstrosities halfway between
man and ape."
— The Book, II:2/402
