LATER, MAYBE?
Israel
will not
Ariel Sharon, the war criminal responsible for the mass slaughter of thousands during the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon, has announced that he will exempt Palestinian President Yasser Arafat from assassination at this time. With smirking approval from the Bush regime, the porcine prime minister of Israelwho is presently conducting a ruthless TERROR campaign against the occupied population of Palestinedid, however, leave open the possibility of an attempt on the Palestinian leader's life later on.
Sharon
'has no intention' of harming Arafat JERUSALEMIsraeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said in an interview published Friday he had no intention of harming Palestinian President Yasser Arafat. The remarks published in the Maariv daily followed the release of excerpts from the same interview Thursday, in which Sharon said Israel should have killed Arafat in 1982 when it had him under siege in Beirut during its invasion of Lebanon. "Today we have no inclination to hurt Arafat personally," Sharon told Maariv. "It would harm Israel. We have no intention now to harm Arafat or to dismantle the infrastructure of the Palestinian Authority." Sharon has cut ties to the Palestinian Authority and branded Arafat "irrelevant" for failing to rein in militants in a 16-month-old Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation which erupted shortly after peace talks stalled. Palestinian officials accuse Sharon of seeking to topple Arafat and the Authority in his attempts to quell the uprising. They charge Sharon with escalating violence for lack of a peace program.
Remember the LIBERTY? Remember the cold-blooded assassination by the Israelis of 34 American servicemen aboard this unarmed U.S. communications ship in 1967? WILL WE BE GOING AFTER THIS TERRORIST STATE?
