UPSETTING THE KABBALAH?

Turkish vote jeopardizes
Bush war plans

WASHINGTON—The Turkish parliament's decision to deny U.S. forces use of the southeastern part of that country as a staging area—despite an offer of $6 billion in aid, plus $20 in loan guarantees—could jeopardize scheduled plans for an invasion of Iraq on March 11, according to a source close to the White House.

The Bush administration had hoped to launch an attack on the 18-month anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center in New York. Because of the Turkish vote, however, the U.S. may be forced to postpone its war plans for up to 18 days beyond that date.

When questioned an White House official confirmed the importance of timing in the Iraqi operation. However, he discounted speculation that there might be numerical
significance to the March 11 date, saying only that "the decision to go into Iraq will depend on other factors, both military and political." He did not elaborate.

Privately one reporter wondered whether the Bush family, which has always had strong secret-society ties, was now employing occult symbolism in the formulation of public policy.

The number "18" is a multiple of three 6s and has long been considered to hold kabbalistic significance. Among Jews it is regarded as especially sacred, and a number of their organizations bear this number in their names.

This would not be the first time that kabbalism has figuredin U.S. military operations on behalf of the Six-pointed Star. During World War II, the D-Day invasion of National Socialist Europe commenced in the 6th hour of the 6th day of the 6th
month—along a six-mile front.
